Hailstorm Roof

A Tale of Two Roofs

Same concrete. Same storm. One critical difference: ZYTERRA.

ZYTERRA Treated Roof
Untreated Roof

The Problem

  • Two newly completed concrete roofs were still curing when a severe hailstorm struck.
  • One roof had already been treated with ZYTERRA. The other had not.
  • Both roofs were exposed to the same storm under the same conditions.

The ZYTERRA Treatment

  • ZYTERRA had been applied to the first roof while the concrete was still curing.
  • The treatment helped strengthen and protect the mineral surface.
  • Its vapour permeable characteristics allowed moisture vapour to escape.

The Result

  • The ZYTERRA treated roof remained intact without widespread impact damage.
  • The untreated roof suffered widespread pitting and surface damage.
  • The untreated roof required remedial work. The treated roof did not.
